Understand what stakeholder feedback means for your decisions

Survey results become useful when decision makers can see who responded, what changed, which differences matter and what action the evidence supports. A headline satisfaction score rarely answers those questions on its own.

BOI supports research that connects the management question to the design, analysis and interpretation of the study.

How BOI helps

  • Define the study objectives, stakeholder groups and questions to be answered.
  • Develop or review bilingual questionnaires and the approach to sampling or full population participation.
  • Check completeness, duplication, scoring rules and comparability with previous cycles.
  • Analyse results by relevant groups while considering sample sizes, response patterns and confidentiality.
  • Code open ended responses into themes, retaining material criticism and removing identifying details from published examples.
  • Translate the findings into priorities and a practical management report.

Typical deliverables

A study plan; a questionnaire; a data validation note; a results workbook; a bilingual findings report; and a management action template. Statistical tests are selected where appropriate to the design and data, with limitations explained.

Interpreting change responsibly

A change between survey cycles may reflect a different respondent mix or revised questions. BOI checks those differences before treating a movement as improvement or decline. Analysis of associations does not by itself establish the cause of a result.

Intended outcome

A clearer account of stakeholder experience and the decisions supported by the findings, including where further investigation is needed.

What the engagement needs from you

Clear study objectives, authorised access to the relevant data and an agreed approach to respondent privacy and reporting small groups.
